Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a few of the most frequent questions I get from new clients.
Do I need to be fit to start?
Absolutely not.
We start from your current fitness level, your current symptoms and your current life. There is no minimum requirement other than being ready to show up and put in the work to transform your health.
I'm not sure if I'm in perimenopause. Does that matter?
Not at all. Many of the women I work with aren't sure either! Perimenopause can start up to ten years before periods change noticeably, and symptoms vary enormously from woman to woman. If you're in your 40s and something has shifted in your body, your energy, your mood or your sense of self, then this work is likely relevant to you.
Do you work with women who are post-menopausal?
Yes! The work I do is relevant and valuable for women at all stages of perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause. Our approach adapts accordingly.
I've tried personal trainers and coaches before and it hasn't worked. Why would this be different?
Because most personal trainers and coaches don't combine strength training, menopause specialism, nutrition and identity coaching in one package and one relationship. Most programmes give you a plan. This gives you a completely personalised experience that adjusts when life gets in the way, holds the physical and emotional at the same time, and doesn't leave you stranded at the end. The difference isn't just the plan. It's the support around it.
Do you offer a guarantee of success?
I have to be clear - our work is a co-creation. Success requires me to show up fully, and give 100% as a coach, but also requires you to show up fully and give 100% as a client. Therefore I won't ever guarantee that you'll get the results you want, but I will guarantee that you'll get the results that are reflective of the work that you put in.
Where are you based? Is this online?
I'm based in the UK and work online via MyPTHub and Zoom. This means I can work with women anywhere in the world (time-zones allowing). The quality of the coaching experience is not diminished in any way by being virtual. Many of my clients prefer it.
What happens after Ignite ends?
You graduate into the Grit & Growth Club, an ongoing community for women who have completed the programme and want to keep going. This includes monthly exercise programming, nutrition advice, tips on symptom management, group coaching sessions / events / workshops, and a community of strong women who get it. This is where the transformation continues on your own terms.
